Process
Each item on this website is a one of a kind ceramic piece, designed and carefully handmade by me.
For functional pieces (cups, plates, bowls, vases) I use either cone 6 porcelain covered with coloured terra sigillata or dark brown fine stoneware. I make each pot on an electric pottery wheel, then alter them with my fingers creating an organic uneven shape, for example a spiral shape. After the first low temperature firing I draw the glaze design with a burnable water-base paint, then cover the negative spaces with water-resist wax, finally paint the pattern with several layers of glaze, and finally clean up all the excess glaze. After that I fire the pieces to cone 6 in the electric kiln which is about 2200F (or 1200C). All the exposed clay is thoroughly sanded to a soft and smooth finish. I prefer my pots being on a thin and light side especially the porcelain ones.
This crafting process means that the pieces will vary in size, glaze pattern, and shape. Please review the size details carefully before making a purchase. The photos provide a close representation of the item and all dimensions are approximate. Due to the handmade nature of my work, slight variations and imperfections may occur. Any significant flaws will be clearly noted, and such pieces will be offered at a discounted price.
Shipping
All items will be shipped via United States Postal Service (USPS) or UPS. Through the website you can order shipment only to the United States. If you are interested in shipping to another country contact me through the form bellow and we’ll try figure it out. Orders will be shipped out in 1-3 business days. I charge flat rates for shipping, they include shipping, packadging materials and taxes. You will receive a shipping confirmation with tracking when your order ships.
You also can choose a free local pick up of your purchase at the check out if you are local to Austin, Texas.
Returns
I do not offer returns and replacements of my handcrafted products, so please select your purchases carefully. Though if you discover a crack, leak, or other defect that affects the function of the pot, please notify me as soon as possible via the "Contact" form.
Also I can't be responsible for packages that are stolen if tracking shows they have been delivered. I am also not responsible for incorrect shipping addresses. I will ship to the address provided at checkout, so please make sure you entered it correctly.
