Geometric pattern tableware

This design was inspired by archaic ceramic pieces that came down to us from ancient times and geometrical patterns deeply meaningful in many traditional folk cultures. Among my goals were not only creating new interpretations of traditional shapes and pattern, but also learning how to work with the rhythm of positive and negative spaces and contrasting in visual and tactile way surfaces. Also I was striving to achieve the feeling of integrity of a piece and to adhere to a single style when creating series of functional items.
